TechCrunch has published a list of Xiaomi representatives addressed to the Lyft company in which they do not agree to modify their scooter for public use. The Chinese giant accuses Lyft that it modifies the equipment for its own commercial purposes without their permission. They demand the cessation and withdrawal of currently available scooters, otherwise they will take legal action. Xiaomi claims that equipment modified by an American company may pose a threat to users and spoil the company's reputation.

My four-month entry for renting M365 in the US was based on Bird data. Why this company? In May this year, Bird announced that it had an exclusive deal with Xiaomi to create a scooter rental infrastructure in the United States. No wonder Xiaomi fights for his good and his partner's good. They do not want anyone to make a commercial profit on their equipment by converting it to their needs.
